Singer and actress IU made a donation on her debut anniversary on September 18, 2023. EDAM Entertainment as the agency that oversees IU said that the artist had just donated a total of 300 million won to several hospitals, citing South Korean media Sports Donga. 

IU donated it to Asan Hospital in Seoul, the Korean Children's Welfare Association, and Seoul Children's Hospital in the name of IU-ana, a combination of IU's name and her fandom name UAENA. It is hoped that donations to Asan Medical Center will be able to help teenagers and women with cancer. 

Then at the Korean Child Welfare Association it will be used to improve facilities for children affected by natural disasters. Lastly, it was donated to Seoul Children's Hospital which was planned for environmental care such as medical expenses. IU is known as one of the artists who has actively made donations since her debut. 

Some time ago, IU made donations to the Umbrella Children's Foundation and the people of Yangpyeong Regency, Gyeonggi Province. Not only does the singer have an angelic heart, her fans, UAENA, also collect donations for the local community. 

IU is considered successful in having a positive impact on both fans and society. Through her agency, IU expressed her gratitude to fans who have had a positive impact on the environment. "I am very happy to be able to contribute together in spreading warmth in society," said IU.

Adding, “Thanks to our 'Uaena' who has always been by my side and given me generous support.” Meanwhile, IU has entered the 15th year of her career this year. IU debuted on September 24, 2008 with the release of the album Lost and Found. IU has also been involved in acting since 2011 through the drama Dream High. 

Currently, IU is filming the drama I Was Fooled with actor Park Bo Gum. IU finally made a comeback since her last drama Hotel Del Luna. IU is scheduled to hold the 2023 IU Fan Concert “I+UN1VER5E for her 15th debut celebration at KSPO DOME, Seoul on September 23 and 24, 2023.
