There was once a debate about idol actors among Korean drama fans. Most people think that even though an idol has acted in his own way, it takes a different level of intensity to express the right emotions for a role in a Korean drama. 

That's why, some Korean drama fans are skeptical about idol actors. They believe that most idol actors are just visuals with empty acting skills. An idol actor can survive in the K-Drama industry by selling their visuals instead of their acting skills. 

However, this is not the case with these idol actors. That's because these ten idol actors have succeeded in becoming the best actors with great acting skills, not just visuals.

1. INFINITE's L


He is the best actor idol with great acting skills. L is a member of INFINITE who debuted in 2010. Not long after debut, the owner of the real name Kim Myung Soo started his first acting through a Japanese drama entitled Jiu-Special Investigation Team. Since then, he started acting in Korean dramas. 

During his acting career in Korean dramas, INFINITE's L is known to have acting skills that are unmatched among idol actors. His outstanding performance as Lee Sun in the Korean drama The Emperor: Owner of the Mask has won him two awards as Best Hardship Character and Most Popular Actor from the 2017 MBC Drama Awards.

2. 2PM's Taecyeon


The Korean drama Secret Royal Inspector and Joy who gained popularity and his great and extraordinary acting skills as Jang Jun Woo in the Korean drama Vincenzo is a testament to the multitalented 2PM's Taecyeon.

SF9's Rowoon began to gain more recognition for his outstanding acting skills when he played Haru in the Korean drama Extraordinary You . He manages to display dazzling acting in a drama that seems light but complicated.
