EXO's D.O will part ways with SM Entertainment and continue his career with a new agency. Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday October 18, 2023, JTBC reported that EXO's D.O will leave SM Entertainment and join a new agency founded by his old manager who has worked with him since his debut.

Responding to these reports, SM Entertainment officially announced that it is true that the D.O contract with the agency will soon expire in November and the idol plans to continue his individual activities outside SM Entertainment. “D.O's exclusive contract with us will end in early November 2023.

After thorough discussions with D.O, it has been decided that he will continue activities as an EXO member under SM Entertainment. "However, he will continue his acting and individual activities through a new agency founded by him and his former SM manager," explained SM Entertainment.

The news of D.O's departure from SM Entertainment was released following similar news that Sehun and EXO's Chanyeol would leave SM Entertainment. However, SM Entertainment emphasized that Chanyeol and Sehun are still under the auspices of SM Entertainment.

Meanwhile, EXO's D.O made his debut as an EXO member in 2012. He then developed his talents by debuting as an actor in 2014. Apart from being active with EXO, D.O is also active in starring in a number of drama titles such as '100 Days My Prince', 'It's Okay That's Love', 'Bad Prosecutor', and many more.

The idol born in 1993 has also appeared in a number of films such as 'Swing Kids', 'Along with the Gods', 'The Moon', and many more. He also succeeded in establishing his name as one of the most talented idol-actors.

Recently EXO's D.O has also released its 2nd mini album entitled 'Expectation' on September 18, 2023, with the main song title 'Somebody'. Even though he is no longer under SM Entertainment, fans still give full support to D.O to continue developing his career as both a singer and actor in the future.
