Last week South Korean actor, Lee Je Hoon had to be rushed to the hospital because of his health condition. He felt discomfort in his stomach and was diagnosed with ischemic colitis. Lee Je Hoon had to undergo surgery and was treated for several days.

The latest news from the Taxi Driver actor, he has been discharged from the hospital. Lee Je Hoon was allowed to go home last week after undergoing intensive treatment. Lee Je Hoon's representative said that the actor was healthy enough to be able to return to his activities at least this week or early next week. 

He plans to return to the set of the Korean drama he plays as soon as possible. Previously, Lee Je Hoon was rushed to the hospital because he was experiencing ischemic colitis. This is an inflammatory condition and injury in the large intestine, causing excessive pain in the side of the stomach. 

Quoted from MSD Manuals, Ischemic colitis is injury of the large intestine that results from an interruption of blood flow. COMPANY ON management issued an official statement regarding Lee Je Hoon's health condition. They explained that the actor who plays Taxi Driver had been sick since October 1 and only underwent surgery a day later.

Due to his health condition, Lee Je Hoon was forced to cancel his appearance at the opening of this year's Busan International Film Festival. He had previously been invited to be the MC for the event along with Park Eun Bin. As a result, Park Eun Bin will carry out her own MC duties on October 4, 2023.

Apart from that, Lee Je Hoon will also cancel attending the 2023 Buil Film Awards which is scheduled for October 5, 2023. Management also issued an apology because the artist had to cancel the schedule of these two prestigious events. "We apologize to the Busan International Film Festival and Buil Film Awards," concluded COMPANY ON management.

Lee Je Hoon is known for his roles in various Korean dramas ranging from Signal to Taxi Driver. The two seasons of Taxi Driver were very popular with Indonesian audiences because in them, the actor who was born on July 4, 1984 tried out various roles in the process of going undercover to carry out a 'humanitarian mission'
