tvN has shared the latest still cuts from the Korean drama ' Twinkling Watermelon ' ahead of the broadcast of the 9th episode tonight, on Monday October 23, 2023. It shows an increasingly tense scene between Choi Hyun Wook and Ryeoun fighting each other over Seol In Ah.
Quoting from Soompi, 'Twinkling Watermelon' is a future fantasy drama that tells the story of a CODA child (a child born to deaf parents) who has musical talent. He accidentally travels back in time to 1995 through a suspicious music shop. There, he formed the band Watermelon Sugar with another mysterious young man.
Ryeoun plays Eun Gyeol, the only person who can hear in his family. He lives a double life as a perfect model student by day and band guitarist by night. Choi Hyun Wook plays the passionate Yi Chan, as well as Eun Gyeol's father, who was a high school student in 1995.
The previous episode of the Korean drama 'Twinkling Watermelon' showed a scene where Eun Gyeol had difficulty connecting his father, Yi Chan, with his mother, Chung Ah ( Shin Eun Soo ).
