Korean actor Cha Eun Woo received praise after deleting a photo of him drinking Starbucks. As is known, this coffee brand is considered to support Israel. On Tuesday January 9,  2024, Cha Eun Woo attended a meet and greet event as well as the opening of a Skechers store at The Exchange TRX Malaysia shopping center.

The star of the Korean drama True Beauty was appointed as the regional brand ambassador for the American shoe brand. A day after his arrival, Cha Eun Woo uploaded his photos during his visit to the Skechers Malaysia store. The actor initially uploaded four photos.

A photo shows Cha Eun Woo posing in front of the backdrop of a Skechers event in Malaysia. One of the photos shows him playing with his cellphone in a Skechers store, and there is a Starbucks cup on the table. In two other photos, Cha Eun Woo shows off the shoe collection he wore with the Skechers crew.

In particular, the photo of Cha Eun Woo with a Starbucks cup immediately caused controversy among Kpop fans. The war between Israel and Palestine has also become a concern among KPop fans in Indonesia. Recently, many artists have been in the spotlight for consuming or promoting brands that are said to support the genocide in Gaza.

Cha Eun Woo's photo upload was also widely commented on by fans who urged him to delete the photo. It didn't take long for Cha Eun Woo to listen to his fans' calls and immediately deleted his photo with the Ice Americano cup he ordered at Starbucks. Now the 26 year old actor only has three photos left from his visit to Malaysia.

"EUNWOO please don't buy and consume drinks from Starbucks and McD again, they fund the genocide in Gaza. Please apologize and educate yourself," exclaimed a number of fans under Cha Eun Woo's photo upload as a form of education. "Stop drinking that..." commented a fan who rebuked him.

"Well, if it's like this, then I can like the photo, bro," said another fan after Cha Eun Woo deleted his photo with a Starbucks cup. Meanwhile, other fans commented that Skechers is also considered a shoe brand that supports Israel. Cha Eun Woo's fans hope that the Korean actor will not continue collaborating with the shoe brand.
