South Korean actor Yoo Ah In has officially signed an exclusive contract with his new management company, BILLIONS, opening a new chapter in his career after facing numerous controversies related to his past.
The company stated that it will stand by the actor long-term, while emphasizing that he needs to seriously acknowledge his past mistakes and gradually rebuild public trust. On August 21, 2026, BILLIONS announced that they had signed an exclusive contract with Yoo Ah In.
In an official statement, the company said they were fully aware of the public's concerns surrounding the South Korean actor and the debates related to his return to the entertainment industry.
According to BILLIONS, before deciding to sign the contract, the two parties had many frank discussions over a long period of time. The company carefully considered the responsibilities, necessary attitude, and appropriate direction for Yoo Ah In to continue his acting career in the future.
After careful consideration, BILLIONS has decided to partner with Yoo Ah In for a new beginning. The company revealed that what Yoo Ah In valued most during the negotiations was not favorable terms or mere support to help him quickly return to his activities.
Instead, the actor hopes to find a sincere partner who can accompany and guide him step by step on his difficult journey to seek public understanding and forgiveness and rebuild trust.
BILLIONS stated that Yoo Ah In wants to start anew as an actor rather than simply continuing his previous career path. The company agrees with the actor and affirms that it will support him in a long-term, cautious, and unhurried manner.
"We will not downplay his past or try to rush through it," BILLIONS emphasized, adding that a deep understanding of his past and maintaining a sincere attitude are essential for Yoo Ah In to gradually regain trust.
Going forward, BILLIONS will comprehensively manage the actor's activities and create a stable environment so he can focus on his work. The company also commits to not shying away from public concerns, while humbly accepting criticism from fans and the media.
BILLIONS asserts that Yoo Ah In's efforts to acknowledge his mistakes and take acting seriously need to be proven through actions and future works, rather than just words. Previously, Yoo Ah In was sentenced to one year in prison in September 2024 for illegal drug use.
The case was subsequently appealed, and Yoo Ah In's sentence was reduced to a two-year suspended sentence plus a 2 million won fine. Currently, BILLIONS manages many actors such as Lee Jun Young, Jo Bo Ah, Jung Eun Ji of Apink, Jung Sung Il, and several other artists.
Notably, signing with BILLIONS comes as Yoo Ah In is preparing for his return to the screen. The actor has confirmed his participation in the new film Vampire, directed by Jang Jae Hyun.
