BLACKPINK's Lisa is reportedly ready to release a new song entitled Rockstar on June 28, 2024. The news of Lisa's solo comeback was announced less than a week after the musician released a teaser video on her personal social media. The song Rockstar will be Lisa's first comeback after releasing Lalisa three years ago in 2021.
This single is also her first music project after she officially left YG Entertainment and founded the LLOUD label in February 2024. Reporting from Korea JoongAng Daily on Wednesday June 19, 2024, Rockstar is Lisa's first project in collaboration with Sony Music Entertainment.
In April 2024, LLOUD collaborated with the record label RCA Records which is under Sony Music Entertainment and is one of the company's four main labels. A number of international musicians are also members of RCA Records, including A$AP Rocky, Doja Cat, Justin Timberlake, SZA, Mark Ronson, Foo Fighters, and Latto.
LLOUD will be the label that manages all of Lisa's solo activities and projects. However, the musician whose full name is Lalisa Manoban is still working with YG Entertainment for group projects with other BLACKPINK members.
"Having achieved many achievements through her album to become a global pop artist, Rockstar Lisa is expected to attract the attention of listeners, especially with the support of RCA Records," said LLOUD in a statement.
Previously, BLACKPINK's Lisa had already released a solo project teaser on Thursday June 13, 2024. She was seen walking in front of the camera wearing sunglasses, a white crop top and a black mini skirt while posing in front of the camera.
The video is accompanied by music which cannot be ascertained whether it will be part of the musician's new project or not. Lisa also did not fail to provide an immediate comeback code in the latest display on the official page with the words "Lisa, coming soon."
Apart from that, this musician from Thailand will also make his acting debut in the third season of the series The White Lotus which will be held in a number of famous places in Thailand. However, until now it is not officially known what role and name of the character Lisa will play.
