tvN announced the premiere date for the drama 'Is It Fate?' or previously known as Is It a Coincidence? starring Kim So Hyun, Chae Jong Hyeop, Yoon Ji On and Dasom. Adapted from the popular webtoon, Is It Fate? will premiere on July 22, 2024 at 8:40 p.m. KST as tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama.
This drama tells the story of young people who find true love and their dreams after accidentally meeting their first love from 10 years ago. Kim So Hyun plays Lee Hong Joo, an animation producer who is afraid of love because of painful memories from previous relationships and who experiences unexpected changes after meeting Kang Hoo Young, who witnesses the lowest moments from her past.
Chae Jong Hyeop plays Kang Hoo Young, a handsome and intelligent financial planner living in the United States who doesn't need to work hard to achieve extraordinary results. Tired of his boring and meaningless life, Kang Hoo Young finds his heart fluttering again when he returns to Korea for the first time in a long time and unexpectedly reunites with Lee Hong Joo, his first love in middle school, after 10 years.
Yoon Ji On plays Bang Joon Ho, a free-spirited writer who wants to change the past. Meanwhile Dasom plays Lee Hong Joo's best friend, Kim Hye Ji, an English teacher who is sincere about love and has grown since her days as a shy high school student.
