NewJeans' Hyein will return to participating in activities with the group after previously going on hiatus. Recently, the ADOR agency has provided the latest news about Hyein's health. Last April 2024, the agency announced that Hyein was on hiatus and taking time off to recover from a microfracture she suffered during training.
Now, Hyein's condition has improved after the idol focused on treatment. "Since a microfracture was discovered on the top of her foot in April, Hyein has focused on treatment and recovery. A recent check-up confirmed that the fracture is healing well, and it is recommended that she increase her leg movement gradually over the next month." said ADOR as quoted from Soompi on Thursday June 20, 2024.
Seeing that Hyein's condition has improved, she is scheduled to participate in the 'Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome' event on June 26 and 27, 2024. This was done by considering the advice of the medical team and discussions with other members.
However, as she requires a sufficient rehabilitation period, ADOR is currently adjusting Hyein's participation level to avoid straining her injury during her interactions with fans. Therefore, Hyein will take part in the event on a limited basis. Furthermore, ADOR asked for fans' understanding that Hyein will not be able to participate in official promotions for 'Supernatural' in Japan, including music events and performances.
"However, depending on Hyein's condition and the medical team's advice, she plans to do as many activities as possible besides music events and performances. We are committed to ensuring that NewJeans can perform as a full group at future music events in South Korea," said ADOR.
Finally, ADOR would like to thank fans for their attention to Hyein's health condition. The idol will return to official activities once he has received permission from the medical team. Meanwhile, on Thursday June 20, 2024 morning, NewJeans was seen at Gimpo International Airport to leave for Japan in full formation.
The five NewJeans members looked fresh in outfits resembling school uniforms. NewJeans will release their Japanese debut single entitled 'Supernatural' on June 21 and will appear on various Japanese music shows such as 'Mezamashi TV', 'Music Station', 'With Music', and so on.
