South Korean Girl group BABYMONSTER has recently announced their official fandom name. Through a video uploaded on their official channel, YG Entertainment announced that BABYMONSTER's first official fandom name is MONSTIEZ.

The fandom name has a deep meaning. Quoting from Soompi on Saturday July 27, 2024, MONSTIEZ is a combination of "MONS" from the word BABYMONSTER and "TIES" which means bond, signifying a close relationship where members and fans can rely on and support each other.

In addition to announcing the fandom name, their light stick design features red horns symbolizing BABYMONSTER atop a white hemisphere and is scheduled to be officially released soon. Along with the announcement of the fandom name, BABYMONSTER has launched their own content series 'BAEMON NEWS 7' to maintain active communication with fans.

"We have launched this new content to meet the enthusiastic support of fans who want to feel closer to BABYMONSTER's charm," said YG Entertainment. They added, "We plan to continue releasing fun videos that showcase the members' unique wit and teamwork, so please look forward to it.”

Girl group BABYMONSTER consists of seven members, namely Ruka, Pharita, Asa, Ahyeon, Rami, Rora, and Chiquita. They debuted in April 2024 through the mini album 'BabyMons7er'. BABYMONSTER carries YG's signature charismatic concept.

They are known as an all-rounder group, where each member excels in vocals, rap, and dance. This girl group has a contrasting image as their name suggests. BABYMONSTER has a "baby" side, where they have a childish aspect, and a "MONSTER" side, where they can appear fierce and professional on stage.

As a newcomer to the K-pop industry, BABYMONSTER has taken over the music market with their easy listening songs, such as 'Batter Up', 'Sheesh', 'Stuck in the Middle', 'Like That', and 'Forever'. Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER will hold their first domestic fan meeting on August 10 and 11, 2024, and will also perform at Japan's largest music festival, 'SUMMER SONIC 2024'.
