Kim Jaejoong recently revealed his experience while filming his latest Korean drama titled ' Bad Memory Eraser '. Carrying the romantic genre, 'Bad Memory Eraser' tells the story of a man whose memory is erased by a memory eraser so that he is reborn with high self-confidence.
In this drama, Kim Jaejoong plays Lee Goon, who was injured while playing tennis, and has now lost his spirit and confidence. Even though it is a romantic genre, there are times when this drama includes comedy elements that make Kim Jaejoong feel embarrassed when doing certain scenes.
"There were many times when I suddenly became insecure and embarrassed while acting. I was really embarrassed when I had to act almost naked in front of dozens of crew members," said Kim Jaejoong as quoted by Soompi on July 28, 2024.
He added, “There are strong comedic elements, but there are also a lot of serious sides to this drama, so it feels like I’m playing many roles.” Also, while filming the scene where he talks to the dog Cola, he messed up a lot of the scenes because he couldn't stop laughing.
When asked about the similarities between his character and his real-life personality, Kim Jaejoong emphasized that the two are very different when it comes to romance. “I’m definitely not the type to go after something bold,” the actor said. Kim Jaejoong described the drama 'Bad Memory Eraser' as a story about growth, as well as a drama filled with various emotions.
"When you are frustrated, this drama can give you a refreshing feeling, and when you feel empty, this drama can fill you up. I hope you will watch it," he said. Lastly, Kim Jaejoong also talked about what it was like working with his co-stars, Jin Se Yeon and Lee Jong Won.
“Jin Se Yeon has the ability to brighten up the set with her presence. She never stops smiling, and she is very focused when acting, so I have a lot to learn from her,” said Kim Jaejoong. He continued, “Kyung Joo Yeon’s (Ji Se Yeon’s character) comedic acting in this drama is amazing, so make sure you don’t miss it.”
Next, regarding Lee Jong Won, Kim Jaejoong commented, “He was the cutest person on set. I was impressed by his flexibility during filming, and now we have become close like friends.” Meanwhile, 'Bad Memory Eraser' will premiere on August 2, 2024, every Friday and Saturday at 9:40 p.m. KST.
