Actress Kim Shin Rok has recently been confirmed as one of the cast members in MBC's latest Korean drama titled ' Undercover High School '. Quoting from Soompi on July 1, 2024, MBC confirmed that Kim Shin Rok will be part of the cast for the drama along with Seo Kang Joon and Jin Ki Joo.

Carrying the action comedy genre, 'Undercover High School' tells the story of a National Intelligence Agency (NIS) agent who goes undercover as a high school student. It all started when Jung Hae Sung (played by Seo Kang Joon), the agent, received a demotion due to an incident.

Therefore, he was assigned to a mission to find the whereabouts of King Gojong's missing gold bars. Eventually, he disguised himself as a student at Byung Moon High School. At the high school, Jung Hae Sung meets Oh Soo Ah (played by Jin Ki Joo), a Korean history teacher who later becomes his homeroom teacher.

In the drama, Kim Shin Rok will play Seo Myung Joo, the head of the Byung Moon Foundation and the elite private Byung Moon High School. Seo Myung Joo is a meticulous and strategic character, driven by an obsession to be the best. Kim Shin Rok will also play Jung Hae Sung's arch-nemesis.

His rivalry with Seo Kang Joon's character will add to the excitement and create strong on-screen chemistry, making their interactions highly anticipated. “We are very happy to have Kim Shin Rok as the character of the foundation chairman. His upcoming work is expected to surpass his past performances.

His character’s rivalry with Hae Sung and Soo Ah will definitely increase the drama’s appeal,” said the production team. Meanwhile, Kim Shin Rok was previously known for his roles in a number of popular Korean dramas, including 'Moving', 'Hellbound', 'If You Wish Upon Me', 'A Model Family', 'The Kidnapping Day', 'Reborn Rich', and many more.

'Undercover High School' will be one of Kim Shin Rok's comeback projects after previously starring in the drama 'Queen of Tears'. Currently, 'Undercover High School' is still in production. The drama is scheduled to premiere in early 2025 and fill the Friday-Saturday slot on MBC. Stay tuned for more information!
