THE BOYZ will make a comeback on November 20, 2023 with the second part of the album “ Sixth Sense ” titled “ Phantasy ”. Previously, they had released the first part of this album titled “Christmas in August”. “ Watch It ” is the title track for the album “Phantasy”.

This song has a charismatic and rough bass sound. So it might be uncomfortable for some people. While the lyrics tell of a warning for girls not to be charmed by their charms. But on the contrary, "Watch It" becomes a mantra that hypnotizes their listeners and makes fans fall in love even more.

The music video for "Watch It" was directed by Lee Hyein, the man behind the cool music videos of Girls' Generation's Taeyeon, NCT, and IU. So it's no wonder that this music video presents a stunning visual experience. Then the producer is the person who also worked on hit songs for popular K-pop artists like TWICE and Red Velvet.

Although it doesn't really suit the song and its loud melody, when I first saw the music video, I appreciated the cool work of the visuals. One thing I noticed in this music video is the white cat play and the light play at the beginning of the video that looks familiar. It turns out the director is the same person who usually works on NCT songs.

Then moving on to the choreography, the work of famous choreographer Baek Gu Young unfortunately also failed to captivate me. Where choreographer Baek Gu Young is the person behind the cool collaborations on THE BOYZ's hit songs such as "The Stealer", "Thrill Ride", "Maverick", and 'Roar'.

Meanwhile, in terms of appearance, "Watch It" visualizes THE BOYZ's transformation into a bad boy. In terms of makeup and outfits, they deserve a thumbs up for depicting the concept very strongly. This song is perfect for those who like a stomping song with a dark concept.

Because the cool side of the bad boy combined with music with a characteristic bass line makes this song have its own fans. The melody itself sounds like something I've heard before, of course "Watch It" with a modified version with a modern touch typical of THE BOYZ.
