YouTuber Tzuyang (Park Jeong Won) is being sued over a controversy over fake identity to undergo surgery to avoid medical records. As reported by South Korean media Kyunghyang on Monday July 29, 2024, Complainant A filed a demand for investigation to the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety regarding the alleged surrogate surgery carried out by YouTuber Tzuyang.
Tzuyang is suspected of having surgery at a hospital under the name of B, the older brother of his ex-girlfriend, he used B's resident registration number to have surgery under his name. The purpose is thought to be because he tried to avoid medical records under his own name.
The allegation arose from a recording collected by the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute. B revealed to C that he was disappointed with Tzuyang. B expressed his dissatisfaction because Tzuyang did not contact him when he revealed the story of his ex-girlfriend, who is B's younger sister.
The recording also revealed that Tzuyang used the identity of B to avoid taxes. According to Lawyer No Jong Eon of Jonjae Law Firm, if the allegations are true, Tzuyang and B, his ex-girlfriend's older brother, could be charged with violating the Resident Registration Act.
Not only that, hospitals that perform operations can also be subject to sanctions for violating the Health Law. Previously, Complainant A was the same person who reported 17 famous YouTubers for alleged violations of the Health Act related to the 'hidden advertising' controversy in the medical field in August 2020. He is a community organization activist.
This time, Complainant A filed a complaint so that the authorities would investigate YouTuber Tzuyang. In his complaint, it was stated that Tzuyang stole someone else's identity and demanded negligence from the hospital that performed the operation on Tzuyang.
“We strongly urge that the violation of the Health Act regarding the ‘alleged Tzuyang surrogacy surgery’ be carefully reviewed and an investigation be conducted,” Complainant A demanded. Currently, the complaint has been sent to the National Police Agency to verify the violation of the law. Furthermore, the case will be sent to the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul for further investigation.
