ZEROBASEONE proved its status as a '5th generation icon' by achieving sales of 1.01 billion yen in Japan in the first half of this year. According to the Oricon First Half Ranking 2024 announced on the official website on July 3, 2024.
ZEROBASEONE ranked 2nd in the 'Rookie Ranking' category of sales by artist, the highest among other K-Pop artists. The Oricon First Half Ranking, which was created in 2018, ranks the total sales accumulated from singles, albums, DVDs, Blu-rays, digital singles, digital albums, streaming, etc. in a given year.
Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE ranked in the same period. ZEROBASEONE created a sensation with their debut in Japan. Their first single 'YURA YURA' reached half a million sales just a week after their debut.
And with this single, they received a Double Platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ). In addition, ZEROBASEONE broke the record for the highest sales among foreign artists' debut singles in the first week of release with 'YURA YURA'.
The single also swept the Oricon weekly single ranking, weekly combined single ranking, and monthly single ranking. Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE will participate in Japan's largest urban music festival 'SUMMER SONIC 2024', which will be held in Osaka, Japan on August 17 and Tokyo on the 18th, August 2024.
