The song is a smooth jack swing track, reinterpreting Pharrell Williams' production of 'Back of My Mind' (2009). The melody, which evokes a sense of nostalgia, blends well with the emotional vocals of the NewJeans members, maximizing their unique charm.
The bridge and improvisation of the original song have been recreated in the signature style of NewJeans' in-house producer, 250. It also ranked first on Bugs' daily chart for two consecutive days (July 2-3, 2024) and reached a peak of 8th on Melon's 'Top 100'. On Billboard, Supernatural debuted at number 14 on the Global Excl. US chart and number 25 on the Global 200 chart.
