On July 5, 2024 at midnight KST, girl group NewJeans released the Korean version of their Japanese debut song, Supernatural which instantly became a global hit. NewJeans have released Part 2 of their music video for Supernatural, which features Korean lyrics.

The song is a smooth jack swing track, reinterpreting Pharrell Williams' production of 'Back of My Mind' (2009). The melody, which evokes a sense of nostalgia, blends well with the emotional vocals of the NewJeans members, maximizing their unique charm.

The bridge and improvisation of the original song have been recreated in the signature style of NewJeans' in-house producer, 250. This music video for Supernatural Part 2 contains hidden stories that were not revealed in the first part, such as the hint of New Genes' identity in the video as the latest news that supernatural phenomena and unusual creatures are increasing.

Meanwhile, the single Supernatural has been a success on both local and global music charts. The song ranked 4th on Japan's latest Oricon weekly combined singles rankings on July 8 for two consecutive weeks. Supernatural also ranked 11th on Oricon's weekly streaming rankings and 16th on Spotify Japan's 'Daily Top Songs'.

It also ranked first on Bugs' daily chart for two consecutive days (July 2-3, 2024) and reached a peak of 8th on Melon's 'Top 100'. On Billboard, Supernatural debuted at number 14 on the Global Excl. US chart and number 25 on the Global 200 chart.
