BLACKPINK's Jisoo is reportedly returning to the small screen as the main character in the new drama Monthly Boyfriend (literal title). On August 29, 2024, a media outlet reported that Jisoo recently received a casting offer to star in Monthly Boyfriend as the female lead.
In response to the reports, Jisoo's agency, BLISSOO, confirmed the news and stated that she is considering the offer, "We are currently reviewing the offer."
Meanwhile, Jisoo has finished filming the film Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint with Ahn Hyo Seop and Lee Min Ho. She is preparing to star in Newtopia with actor Park Jung Min.
If Jisoo accepts Monthly Boyfriend's offer, it will add to her long list of acting projects after establishing the agency BLISOO, where her older brother Kim Jung Hoon serves as CEO.
