Park Sung Hoon has chosen to step down from the drama project The Tyrant's Chef which he will star in with SNSD's Yoona. The decision was made after Park Sung Hoon received criticism and condemnation after making a mistake on social media.

Some time ago, Park Sung Hoon re-uploaded a vulgar Squid Game parody poster.  The poster reportedly came from a Japanese adult film. The upload only lasted for a minute, and was immediately deleted by Park Sung Hoon.

However, the mistake was unforgivable among Korean netizens aka Knetz. Criticism and protests continued to rain down on the rising actor. Park Sung Hoon and his agency, BH Entertainment, issued an apology and clarification regarding the upload error.

"Park Sung Hoon received (the JAV poster) as a DM, but he felt it was problematic, so he downloaded the photo in question with the intention of sending it to the company manager. He was supposed to save it, send it to the manager, and then delete it right away, but the photo was uploaded by mistake," BH Entertainment explained.

As a result of this case, Park Sung Hoon also received protests from the fan community of SNSD's Yoona, the actress who will act with him in The Tyrant's Chef. Park Sung Hoon then submitted his resignation from the drama project The Tyrant's Chef

The agency and the drama production team finally reached an agreement to remove Park Sung Hoon from the list of main cast. As of now, there is no information regarding Park Sung Hoon's replacement actor in The Tyrant's Chef.
