The Military Manpower Administration revealed that one of the member of South Korean boy group BTS, Suga will not receive any separate disciplinary action or punishment following the incident of falling off an electric scooter due to being drunk.
An official from the Military Manpower Administration told Xports News on Wednesday August 7, 2024, "There will be no punishment such as extending Suga's social service period."
The official continued, "Social service workers are only subject to punishment for things that happen during working hours. Since the punishment is applied in the same way as ordinary people outside of working hours, no special punishment will be given to Suga."
Previously, on the night of August 6, 2024, Suga was riding an electric scooter while drunk. The police found him falling down in front of his residence while parking. As a result of the police breathalyzer test, he was fined and his driver's license was revoked.
Regarding this incident, BIGHIT MUSIC and Suga's agency have personally apologized. "There were no casualties or damaged facilities, but it is my responsibility that cannot be forgiven, therefore I bow my head and apologize to everyone," he wrote.
