ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo has finally spoken out regarding the tax evasion controversy that has dragged his name into the spotlight. In an official statement on his personal Instagram account on Wednesday (April 8, 2026), the "True Beauty" star confirmed that he has paid all taxes imposed by the relevant authorities.

The case began with a report on January 22, 2026 stating that Cha Eun Woo underwent an investigation by Investigation Bureau 4 of the Seoul Regional Tax Office last year. As a result, the National Tax Service (NTS) issued an additional tax assessment of over 20 billion won.

In his post, Cha Eun Woo expressed his deepest apologies to fans, especially AROHA, for the uproar. He explained that the delay in issuing this statement was due to administrative procedures he had to carefully follow.

"I respect the procedures and findings of the National Tax Service, and to prevent further confusion, I have paid all related taxes. I will also diligently comply with the remaining procedures," Cha Eun Woo wrote in his statement.

Cha Eun Woo admitted that this issue arose from his negligence in managing the private corporation he established to support his career. He emphasized that he would not blame anyone else and was ready to take full responsibility for all decisions he had made.

"I will not shirk responsibility by saying 'I didn't know' or that it was 'someone else's decision.' If there are any aspects I failed to review carefully, the responsibility lies entirely with me," he stressed.

The actor and singer concluded his statement by promising to implement stricter standards in every aspect of his future activities to prevent a similar incident from happening again. He expressed his commitment to being a more responsible person for his actions and choices.
