The film 'Kung Fu Hustle' returns to accompany Trans TV Cinema viewers. This action genre film airs on Sunday August 18, 2024, precisely at 21.00 WIB. Reported from detikHOT, Kung Fu Hustle is a film by Stephen Chow. In addition to directing, he also produced and wrote the film's script.

Kung Fu Hustle is set in China in the 1940s where the law is unfair. There are always fights between gangs, until finally one of the strongest gangs appears, called the Axe Gang (Geng Kampak) led by Sam (Kwok Kwan Chan).
But the violence and cruelty of the Axe Gang does not apply in Pig Sty Alley, a slum owned by a husband and wife who secretly have kung fu martial arts skills. Kung Fu Hustle features intense martial arts fight scenes in the story.
The film also combines elements of animation in it. Released in 2004, Kung Fu Hustle managed to find a place in the hearts of audiences and Hollywood film industry alike. The film was re-released in 3D in Asia and America in 2014.
In an interview, Stephen Chow said he was inspired to make Kung Fu Hustle from the martial arts films he watched as a child. Plus his desire to become a martial artist when he grows up. Kung Fu Hustle won several awards at the Hong Kong Film Awards in 2005.
The film took home awards for best supporting actor, cinematography, editing, sound design and special effects.
