One of the members of the K-pop group BTS, Suga, has received a summary indictment from the prosecutor's office for the case that befell him. This was announced by Division 2 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutor's Office, on Tuesday September 10, 2024.
In the announcement given, it was stated that the idol had received a summary charge for driving under the influence of alcohol. He was considered to have clearly violated the South Korean Highway Traffic Act.
Summary indictment is a process where the court imposes a fine or penalty based on written documents rather than holding a trial. However, the amount of the fine is not disclosed to the public.
Suga himself was caught driving under the influence of alcohol after being found by police near his residence in Hannam-dong, Yongsan District, Seoul. He was found after falling while riding an electric scooter.
He was charged with violating the Highway Traffic Act because his body alcohol content reached 0.227%.
