Nam Joo Hyuk has finally finished his military service. The South Korean actor is rumored to be returning to satisfy his fans’ longing by considering a new drama to star in. During his military service, the actor was assigned to the Nonsan Military Training Center in Chungnam, where he underwent five weeks of basic military training.

There, Nam Joo Hyuk showed off his outstanding leadership skills by becoming a platoon leader trainer. After completing training, Nam Joo Hyuk was assigned to the 32nd Military Police Division and was responsible for maintaining order, investigating cases, and enforcing rules in the military environment, as reported by KBIZoom .

On the day of his discharge, many fans were curious about what Nam Joo Hyuk’s next step in his career was. Reportedly, he was considering an offer to star in a new drama titled Donggung, which is a dark fantasy action series. The drama tells the story of a ghost hunter and a palace maid who work together to deal with disturbing ghosts in the royal palace.

Not only Nam Joo Hyuk, talented young actress Noh Yoon Seo is also said to be joining the drama Donggung. Noh Yoon Seo is known for her appearances in popular dramas such as Our Blues and Crash Course in Romance, as well as the film 20th Century Girl. If these two stars join, this drama is predicted to get more attention from the audience.

Although Nam Joo Hyuk's involvement in Donggung has not been officially confirmed, fans are already very excited. Most likely, he will play the character of a ghost hunter named Gucheon, who is a central figure in the drama. Many hope that the handsome actor's appearance this time will bring a new impression after his previous success with his last project, Vigilante, before undergoing military service.

In the series, the actor plays a dark and complex main character, far from the gentle image he previously displayed. In addition to Nam Joo Hyuk, on the same day, Y (Choi Seong-yoon) from the group Golden Child will also complete his military service. Y plans to greet fans through a live broadcast to celebrate his discharge.
