In the announcement, SM Entertainment explained that NCT's Jaehyun had been accepted after enlisting in the military some time ago. So, when will Jaehyun carry out his military service? Based on the acceptance results from the Military Manpower Administration, NCT's Jaehyun is scheduled to begin his duties as an active soldier on November 4, 2024.
"NCT's Jaehyun has enlisted in the Army Band and today received a notification of acceptance from the Military Manpower Administration. Accordingly, he is scheduled to enlist as an active duty soldier on November 4, 2024," SM Entertainment said as quoted by Soompi on Monday, September 30, 2024.
However, on the day of his entry into the military training center, there will be no special event or official farewell. This decision was made to avoid safety risks that may arise due to the crowding at the location, considering the large number of families and fans who want to see him off.
“On the day of entry to the recruit training center, there will be no official event to prevent accidents caused by crowds due to the presence of many soldiers and their families,” they added. SM Entertainment also asked for fans' support and love for Jaehyun during his military service. They hope that NCT's Jaehyun can carry out this duty smoothly and return in good health.

Jaehyun is the second NCT member to enlist in the military, following Taeyong.
