Japanese singer Sayuri passed away at the age of 28. She took her last breath on Friday September 20, 2024. The funeral procession was held privately with only her close family and closest friends in attendance. The family expressed their gratitude for all the support that has been given to Sayuri during her life. 

They invite everyone to pray that Sayuri can rest in peace. In addition, the family asked the media to respect their privacy amidst this grief by not conducting interviews or contacting related parties. On July 25, 2024, Sayuri announced that she would be taking a hiatus from music due to functional dysphonia, a condition that affects her voice.

She did not mention any other illnesses at the time and explained that she was undergoing therapy with a therapist and vocal coach to restore her voice. Fans flocked to express their condolences to Sayuri's family and flooded the timeline with memories of her musical career.

At a relatively young age, Sayuri managed to create legendary ballads for a number of leading anime franchises, ranging from My Hero Academia, Lycoris Recoil, Erased , and many more. It is no wonder that the anime community is currently feeling deep sorrow for her passing. For those who are not familiar with her, Sayuri is a singer and songwriter born in 1996 from Fukuoka, Japan. 

Since junior high school, Sayuri has started her music career. She had joined the bands Muu and LONGTAL before finally achieving great success by winning the Grand Prix at the 5th Music Revolution event. Sayuri's journey in the anime world began when her song Mikazuki was used as the soundtrack for the anime Rampo Kitan: Game of Laplace. 

This was a real testament to her talent, because in her first single alone, she had already managed to break into the anime world. Her works are not only a source of entertainment, but also an inspiration to many people. With her talent and dedication, Sayuri has left a legacy that will live on in the world of music and anime.
