Ahead of its release, tvN's Korean drama Jeongnyeon The Star Is Born has shared a sneak peek of the role that actress Kim Yoon Hye will play. The Korean drama Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born is adapted from a popular webtoon, directed by Jung Ji In, who previously produced The Red Sleeve.
The drama is set in the 1950s, shortly after the Korean War, following the story of Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae Ri), a talented young man with a melodious voice who dreams of becoming a top traditional theater actor. The series will explore Jeong Nyeon's journey through competition, teamwork, and personal growth amidst a difficult era for the nation.
In this Korean drama, Kim Yoon Hye plays Seo Hye Rang, the main star of the Maeran Classical Opera Group, who consistently gets the female lead roles. She is described as having extraordinary dancing skills, and has a graceful and elegant appearance.
But Seo Hye Rang has a cunning side and is willing to sabotage anyone, including Moon Ok Kyung (Jung Eun Chae), who threatens her position. Newly released photos from tvN's Instagram @tvn_drama reveal Seo Hye Rang with a stunning aura.
In one photo, she stands out among a crowd of simply dressed market vendors in a bright red dress, red lipstick, a lace umbrella, and silk gloves. Then another photo, she is seen watching a sword dance in a sunlit courtyard. The third photo depicts a confident Seo Hye Rang performing on stage, wearing colorful costumes and makeup while enjoying the spotlight.
Showing a sharp gaze, both on and off stage, makes the audience curious about his ambitious role.
