Seunghan, a member of the K-Pop group RIIZE, surprised fans with his retirement announcement which came just two days after he was announced to be returning to activities. This sudden decision sparked disappointment and anger among fans, who felt they had lost their idol.

In response to the situation, fans immediately organized a protest by sending a protest truck to SM Entertainment's office and planning a direct demonstration to express their dissatisfaction. Not only that, they also launched a mass boycott of all content related to RIIZE, including newly released albums and merchandise.

Many fans even canceled pre-orders of products they had previously ordered. The protest received widespread support from various K-Pop retailers around the world who also called on fans to stop all forms of support for RIIZE's social media accounts.

It is hoped that the decrease in the number of followers will have a significant impact on the group management. Since the boycott began, RIIZE's account on platform X has seen its followers drop from 810,978 to 731,912, losing 79,066 followers.

On the TikTok platform, RIIZE's followers, which previously reached more than 3,543,847, have now dropped to 3,425,654, a decrease of 118,193. The group's Instagram account was also not spared, losing 213,803 followers, bringing its total followers to 3,931,271.

RIIZE's three Japanese accounts on the same platform also lost a total of 25,910 followers. Additionally, the group's Spotify and YouTube channels were also impacted, losing 19,317 and 25,048 followers respectively.

Overall, the total number of followers lost across platforms reached 481,337, a significant number in a short period of time. This boycott action shows the seriousness of fans in expressing their dissatisfaction, with the hope that Seunghan can return to the group they love.
