Entertainment agency SM Entertainment has finally officially terminated its contract with Taeil , a former member of the boy group NCT. Quoting from Soompi on Wednesday October 16, 2024, Taeil's contract with SM Entertainment officially ended on October 15, 2024.
This news was conveyed directly by SM Entertainment through their official announcement. In their announcement, the agency stated that the investigation into the sexual crime case involving Taeil was one of the main reasons they terminated the contract, with the agreement of both parties.
SM Entertainment also stated that they had lost trust in Taeil because of the case. "Hello, this is SM Entertainment. We would like to inform you that our exclusive contract with Taeil has been suspended as of October 15, 2024. Taeil is currently undergoing investigation for a criminal case.
This is not only grounds for terminating our contract, but also makes it impossible to trust him as an artist," SM Entertainment said.
