The song APT, popularized by BLACKPINK's Rose and Bruno Mars, has gone viral since its release on October 18, 2024. In addition to making many achievements, APT also caused controversy because it was banned from being played in several countries, such as South Korea to Malaysia.

APT was banned in those countries because its tune was considered addictive with easy-to-remember lyrics. Meanwhile, in Malaysia, Rose and Bruno's song was banned from being played because it had a meaning that was less than in conflict with Eastern culture.

APT was also said to have changed the stigma about residences or apartments as places to flirt with the opposite sex. However, the Malaysian government through the Ministry of Health emphasized that it had never authorized criticism of APT's song in its country.

After some controversy, it has now been revealed that the song APT was written by an Israeli. According to Wikipedia, the song was written by several parties, namely Chae Young Park (Rose), Bruno Mars, Amy Allen, Christopher "Brody" Brown, Rogét Chahayed, Omer Fedi, Philip Lawrence, Theron Thomas, Henry Walter, Michael Chapman, and Nicholas Chinn.

Omar Fedi one of APT's songwriters is an Israeli musician, producer, and songwriter. The Tel Aviv-born man moved to Los Angeles at the age of 16 to seek opportunities in the music world. He attended Calabasas High School and joined a jazz ensemble.

Before APT, Omar Fedi wrote and produced songs such as Unholy by Sam Smith and Kim Petras, Montero (Call Me By Your Name) by Lil Nas X, and Stay by Kid Laroi and Justin Bieber. All of his creations reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
