BLACKPINK's Rose has been trying to be more open about herself in recent interviews. One of them was when she appeared on the First We Feast YouTube channel for the "Hot Ones" session, Rose revealed her vulnerable side which she then used as a source of inspiration in music.
Like in her first solo album titled "Rosie", Rose will tell honestly and emotionally about her life journey over the past few years. Rose said that the ideal conditions for her creativity often come when her life is not going well.
"Usually when I feel like, 'Wow, life has been really bad lately,' those are always the best sessions because I come out with a song where I've left all the bad stuff behind and come out with a great song," said the 1997-born idol.
Her latest album is a representation of the last three or four years of her life, filled with raw, honest emotions that she has never spoken about before. Rose asserts that the beauty of music lies in the ability to turn something unpleasant into something beautiful.
"That's what I love most about creating, that I can turn something that's not so good into something beautiful," she added. Previously, Rose also touched on the subject of toxic relationships , which will likely also appear on her new album. "I think I'm quite grateful to have been in a few relationships, like a normal girl in her 20s.
I want people to understand that I'm not much different from a typical girlfriend, or a 23-year-old girl at the time," she said. "I'm probably very relatable if you listen to my songs, and if anyone has ever been in a relationship like that. It doesn't even have to be about a boyfriend, just any kind of toxic relationship," Rose continued.
"Rosie" is set to be released on December 6th via THEBLACKLABEL and Atlantic Records. The album reveals all the raw emotions Rose has felt over the past few years, making her relatable to fans her age who are also grappling with the vulnerability and confusion of their 20s.
