Dan Stevens is back with Adam Wingard, a director he has worked with several times. After starring in Wingard's two previous films , Stevens has now officially joined the action horror film Onslaught. According to The Hollywood Reporter on Sunday November 3, 2024, Dan Stevens will play a supporting role in the film.

The Onslaught script  was written by Adam Wingard with his longtime collaborator, Simon Barrett. The film will be produced by Aaron Ryder and Andrew Swett of Ryder Picture Company, Alexander Black of Lyrical Media, and Wingard, Barrett, and Jeremy Platt of Breakaway Civilization.

Jon Rosenberg and Natalie Sellers of Lyrical will serve as executive producers alongside A24. Onslaught's story details are still largely under wraps, but the film will focus on a secret military base where horrific experiments are being conducted. As you might expect, the creatures end up getting out of control.

Adria Arjona plays a woman who must unearth deadly powers from her past to protect herself and her family, while kickboxer and mixed martial artist Alex 'Poatan' Pereira will make his acting debut as The Butcher. Meanwhile, Dan Stevens will appear as a German scientist, the figure behind the creation of the creatures.

This will be the third collaboration between Stevens and director Adam Wingard. Previously, he played a military veteran in Wingard's The Guest, and reunited in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, where Stevens played a veterinarian named Trapper.

Dan Stevens has been very active lately with various projects appearing on the big screen and television. In addition to starring in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire this year, Stevens has also starred in two horror films: Abigail, a vampire thriller by Radio Silence, and Cuckoo, an eccentric horror film that also stars Hunter Schafer.

Additionally, Dan Stevens will star in Swiped alongside Lily James. He is also set to appear alongside Robert De Niro in Netflix’s political thriller Zero Day and will voice the character Blue in the upcoming animated series based on the popular game Among Us.
