Lee Dong Wook is reportedly considering a new drama project. The romance drama, titled Love Affair, will be produced by Netflix. On Tuesday, February 3, 2026, Lee Dong Wook's agency - KINGKONG by STARSHIP confirmed the news, but the South Korean actor has not yet confirmed his involvement.
"It's true that he received a casting offer for Love Affair and is positively considering it. We will make a decision after confirming more details," the agency explained. Love Affair was created by Mo Wan Il, the director behind the drama 'The World of the Married'.
Lee Dong Wook received an offer for the role of Kim Ji Hoon. The drama Love Affair tells the story of a man named Kim Ji Hoon, who has a happy marriage and a successful career. Everything changes when he experiences love from another person, which changes his world.
The production team is reportedly looking for a female actress to play Gong Hu Gyeong, a woman who falls in love with Kim Ji Hoon. They also include Kim Ji Hoon's wife, Lee Seon Hee, and Gong Hu Gyeong's lover, Lee Dae Hee.
If Lee Dong Wook accepts this offer , Love Affair will be the latest romance drama to be accepted after Divorce Insurance in 2025. On the other hand, Lee Dong Wook will return to acting in the series Shop for Killers 2 which is planned to air this year.
