NCT's Jaehyun will begin his military service on November 4, 2024. Ahead of his military service, the idol born in 1997 shared a series of photos on his personal Instagram account, showing himself getting a haircut in preparation for entering the military.
In the photos, Jaehyun still has his blonde hair and is starting to be shaved by the staff. One photo shows Jaehyun eating a lollipop, adding a cheerful touch to his slim appearance. Alongside the photos is a chocolate cake with a knife dramatically positioned at the cut end, as well as a creative display of his name, spelled out in his freshly cut blonde hair.
Jaehyun wrote the heartfelt caption, “Reflecting on the memories we’ve been through together, looking forward to our next journey together.” This portrait of Jaehyun's bald appearance before entering the military was immediately greeted with excitement by South Korean netizens.
Many gave him exorbitant praise, saying that the idol looked even more handsome with this bald hairstyle. " Even though he shaved his head off, he's still handsome [sic!] ," wrote one netizen. " a is still handsome even though his head is shaved off [sic!] ," added another. " Huh, it's sad, but he's so handsome, it doesn't make sense [sic!] ," said another netizen.

On the other hand, Jaehyun had written a long message for fans after being announced for his military service. "I have always walked at my own pace, and I am so grateful and love all of you who have always believed in me and walked by my side," he wrote.
Jaehyun also assured that he would return safely. "I will return healthy so I hope you all are well and healthy while I'm gone. I will continue to work hard while looking back on our memories and anticipating the future that will come. We are timeless," he concluded.
