SHINee's Minho has just released his first full album titled 'Call Back' with the b-side "I Don't Miss You" on November 4, 2024 at 6 pm KST. 'I Don't Miss You' is an R&B pop song with a strong bass sound and kick sound combined with acoustic guitar.

The song showcases calm rap and expressions that seem to be mumbling to oneself. The lyrics are about lying by pretending not to miss someone else. This song has a strong emotion where someone always says "I don't miss you" to cover up their pain.

Their lips keep saying the same thing and this lie flows from their dry eyes. This can be interpreted as someone who never cries and seems calm. But actually has a deep wound about the breakup. So sad. When I first listened to the song, "I Don't Miss You" didn't seem much different from many of Minho's other songs.

Maybe because the genre is R&B. But this song was enough to make me stay until the second minute because I was curious about the story line of this song. Does the character hate his lover so much that he keeps saying he doesn't miss her? Or, conversely, does he always miss her but covers it up with lies.

But after the second minute, this song feels boring because many parts keep repeating. There is no addictive hook, nor a bridge that arouses emotions to continue being in this song. So a song like this should be packaged in a shorter duration.

My favorite part is when Minho raps and says "I Don't Miss You" at the beginning of the song. This starter feels interesting but also shows a sad story. It seems like Minho is a sad boy specialist so many of his solo songs carry this kind of theme.

Finally, this song is perfect to accompany you when you are alone and contemplating. Because "I Don't Miss You" can help you express your feelings. The lyrics that hit home plus the excellent appreciation will make your confusion no longer too heavy.
