SZA has one of the biggest regrets in her life. The American singer wishes she had never had a butt lift. Solána Imani Rowe, SZA's real name, revealed her regrets about undergoing a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) cosmetic procedure in a recent interview with British Vogue.
"I gained weight because I had to be sedentary during recovery to maintain the fat that was transferred. It was a really stupid decision," the 35-year-old said. However, SZA considers the experience as a life lesson.
"You have a BBL, then you realize you don't need it. It's not important. I'll probably do something stupid like that if I want to before I die, because this body is temporary. But it's not really necessary," the singer of 'Love Galore' stressed.
SZA first spoke openly about her BBL surgery to ELLE magazine last year, saying at the time that she did it not because of industry pressure, but because she wanted to. "I treat my butt like a bag.
It's just there to complement the rest of my look," she explains. "I've always wanted a big butt without having to spend too much time in the gym. I give in to my personal desires, not the pressures of the industry."
In addition to BBL, SZA has also spoken about her experience with breast implants. In the podcast 'SHE MD' in March 2024, she said she was at high risk for breast cancer due to her family history. Her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, while her aunt had a mastectomy.
"With the risk of breast cancer that I have, I should not have gotten breast implants," she said. "I have metal tags in my breasts because of fibrosis and certain lumps. But I still did it secretly," SZA said regretfully.
