The latest Korean drama The Fiery Priest 2 will air on November 8, 2024. This drama continues the story of Kim Hae Il (Kim Nam Gil), Park Kyung Sun (Honey Lee) and Goo Dae Young (Kim Sung Kyun). In this second season, they travel to Busan to take on the country's top drug cartel by conducting a joint investigation.
Not only the three main characters are present, there are other characters who will appear, including the character Kim Hong Sik played by Sung Joon. Kim Hong Sik is said to have been sold to a drug cartel abroad as a child and eventually returned to South Korea as an adult.
Sung Joon expressed his gratitude and excitement for joining the second season of the drama. "I'm grateful and happy to be a part of Season 2. I was a fan of Season 1, so I was happy to be involved as a cast member. Although I had concerns because the project has received so much love, I worked hard to make sure I didn't disappoint.

Regarding the character of Kim Hong Sik, Sung Joon said his character is a cruel and merciless villain. He admitted that this character is different from the characters he played in previous projects.
"A truly cruel villain with no limits, someone who knows no mercy and is not afraid of the law. This character is different from the characters I have played before. Most importantly, Kim Hong Sik has an unexpected charm that I think will attract the attention of viewers," he said.
