Ji Soo, who paused his career in South Korea following allegations of school bullying, has recently shared updates on his thriving career in the Philippines. Through his Instagram, Ji Soo showcased photos and videos from his recent performance in Bicol, Philippines.
Dressed in an outfit reminiscent of a rock star, Ji Soo took the stage to the cheers of a packed audience of Filipino fans. Once a rising star in the Korean entertainment industry, Ji Soo found himself at the center of school violence allegations in 2021.
At the time, he posted a handwritten apology and terminated his exclusive contract with his agency, effectively halting his domestic entertainment activities. Having claimed his innocence on multiple occasions, Ji Soo addressed the situation in a YouTube video in August 2024, stating, “Over the past four years, many things have happened.
I completed my military service, and there were some unfavorable issues about me. But I’ve cleared up misunderstandings with the one who brought the issue.” Now restarting his career, Ji Soo has turned to the Philippines.
He has been actively participating in projects, including the Filipino drama Black Rider and the film Rainbow. In a YouTube vlog, Ji Soo expressed his aspirations, saying, “I’d like to try working on projects in English. If the opportunity arises, I’d love to take on a global film where I can act in English.”
