Young Woong's post made a netizen reprimand him via DM because the man was reluctant to comment on the heated situation in the country.

" Unexpectedly, Young Woong replied to the DM by writing, "Do what?" The netizen began to convey the public situation that demanded President Suk Yeol to be removed. The netizen wrote, "The whole nation is united to impeach the president who declared martial law against the constitution.
I didn't even expect you to speak up, but (posting the dog's birthday on Instagram) is reckless." The netizen continued to criticize Young Woong with, "Aren't your fans mostly older Koreans who have experienced martial law before?" Young Woong gave a sharp reply."Am I a politician? Why would I voice something?" replied Young Woong.
The handsome singer's attitude when replying to netizens' DMs sparked criticism because many were disappointed that Young Woong seemed not to care about the condition of his country. There were also netizens who felt that the man did not need to reply to DMs if he did not care about the condition of the country.

But responding to DMs like that? That's so rude ," continued another. On the other hand, Korean media OSEN reported that they tried to contact Young Woong's agency, Mulgogi Music, to verify the authenticity of the man's DM reply circulating on social media.
However, they were unable to contact any agency representatives. Meanwhile, some Young Woong fans claimed that their fan cafe memberships were revoked after asking the soloist to explain. The man is scheduled to start his concert on December 27, 2024.
