Cha Joo Young was a guest star on the TV Chosun program "Heo Young Man's Food Travel" which aired on March 16, 2025. In the episode, the actress was seen traveling to Hampyeong, Jeollanam-do accompanied by MC Heo Young Man.

During the broadcast, Heo Young Man admitted, “I didn’t expect to meet someone from the only drama I’ve ever watched.” The MC admitted to having watched the drama “The Glory,” in which Cha Joo Young played one of the antagonists.

Cha Joo Young was also asked if her life has changed since starring in the popular Netflix drama. The actress replied, "Thanks to 'The Glory,' my next project is a little different, and now I have more choices of roles."

Later, Joo Young and Young Man visit a restaurant famous for its ganjjajang (stir-fried black bean noodles) that has been around for 41 years. While enjoying their meal, Young Man suddenly brings up the similarities between Joo Young and Song Hye Kyo.

Young Man said, “You must have acted with Song Hye Kyo a lot because you look so much like her.” Joo Young looked nervous at the compliment, but the actress wisely replied, “I don’t know how to answer that. Song Hye Kyo unnie is so pretty.” On that occasion, the two also ate red bean porridge with small rice cakes.

Cha Joo Young said, "I really like carbohydrates. I like rice cakes." Young Man then mentioned the term "tteok suni" (someone who likes rice cakes) and asked, "If you like carbohydrates, doesn't that mean you gain weight?" Cha Joo Young replied, "That's why I gained a lot of weight for 'The Glory.'

I gained weight, and since then, I haven't been able to fully return to my previous body shape. Even now," which attracted attention. Young Man quickly asked, "It's been 4 years since filming ended. How many kilograms have you gained?" Cha Joo Young replied, "I gained about 5-6 kilograms. That's pretty fast.

It wasn't gradual, I gained weight quickly and maintained it throughout filming." Heo Young Man then asked, "Are you satisfied now? But to be satisfied, a lot of income has to follow, right?" Cha Joo Young laughed and replied, "I think I need to work harder."

Meanwhile, Cha Joo Young recently finished starring in "The Queen Who Crowns". Her acting as the character of Queen Wongyeong received much praise from the audience. Until now, the actress is still considering other promising projects that she can star in.
