Study Group is the latest Korean drama starring Hwang Min Hyun as the main star. Ahead of its premiere, the production team has released the first poster about the role he plays.
Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, Study Group is a high school action comedy about Yoon Ga Min, a student who dreams of becoming the best in academics but is only talented in fighting. In a high school known as one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the cruel world of college entrance exams.
The photos that were just released via TVING's Instagram, @tving.official show Hwang Min Hyun's transformation from someone who looks like a genius but is good at martial arts. In this drama, Hwang Min Hyun plays Yoon Ga Min, the leader of the study group.
Although his glasses and neat appearance make him look like a model student, he is actually at the bottom of the class academically and is only skilled in fighting. Despite this, Yoon Ga Min sits diligently at her desk with the goal of attending college.
However, when her study group mates are bullied, she brings out her hidden brute strength and martial arts skills to fend off those who threaten her friends and disrupt her studies. The newly released poster features Yoon Ga Min at the troubled Yusung Technical High School.
Unfazed by the chaotic classroom filled with flying test papers, chairs, torn notebooks, and crushed pencils, she remains focused on the blackboard. The tagline, “Want to study with me?” hints at the turbulent journey of this scrappy genius as he begins to form his study group.
