IVE's Jang Won Young's Instagram account was suddenly flooded by netizens regarding the tragic death of an 8-year-old elementary school student. The elementary school student named Kim Ha Neul was found stabbed to death at an elementary school in Seo-gu, Daejeon.
On February 11, 2025, police confirmed that medical personnel attempted to save Haneul's life, but the female student eventually died. The suspect, a teacher in his 40s, was arrested at the scene. Local media reports revealed that Ha Neul was actually a big fan of Won Young.
The victim's father also confirmed it and expressed his sincere hope that Won Young would send a warm message to his late daughter. "Ha Neul's dream is to be like Jang Won Young. For his birthday, he asked me to buy a photocard of Jang Won Young.
No matter how late it is, if Jang Won Young appears on any program, she has to watch it live," she said. Ha Neul's father continued, "Even when her younger sister wanted to watch 'Pororo,' she insisted on watching Jang Won Young.

Fortunately, IVE's agency has sent a wreath and photo card on behalf of the group to express condolences for Ha Neul's final journey.
The wreath reads "Singer IVE" and "Rest in Peace". On the other hand, Ha Neul tragically passed away on February 10, 2025 at around 5:50 p.m. when he was stabbed to death by a female teacher. During police questioning, the perpetrator confessed, "I planned to kill any child and die together."
