The late Kim Sae-ron's final film was scheduled to be released this year. The actress was preparing to make a comeback, including starring in the film Everyday We Are , before she was found dead at her home at the age of 24.

Kim Min-jae as director revealed that the production team has now entered the editing stage. However, he admitted that he could not yet announce the details of the film's broadcast schedule. "The film was originally planned to be released in the second half of this year, but the sad news came as a surprise," said Kim Min-jae.

"I realized the only thing I can do now for Sae-ron is to show her acting talent to everyone, so that she will never be forgotten." Korea JoongAng Daily reported that Kim Sae-ron plays Han Yeo-ul, a high school student with an interest in basketball, in the film. 

Kim Sae-ron also stars opposite Lee Chae-min as Oh Ho-su, her childhood friend and dream guy. Everyday We Are is a film adapted from a webtoon on KakaoPage that tells the story of teenage romance while exploring the life of friendship. The project is also rumored to be produced in both film and series formats.

 Everyday We Are will be launched first in film format, and will continue to air as a drama with seven episodes. The filming process for Everyday We Are itself is said to have been completed since 2021.Kim Sae-ron was previously reported to have been found dead at her home in Seongdong, Seoul, South Korea on Sunday February 16, 2025. 

The actress died at the age of 24 and police claimed Kim Sae-ron died by suicide. According to the police report as reported by YTN, the police received a call to go to Kim Sae-ron's residence at five in the afternoon local time.

The first party and the one who reported to the police was Kim Sae-ron's friend. He came to the actress' house because they had previously promised to meet. Kim Sae-ron herself is a famous actress who made her debut as a child, or at the age of 9 years.
