South Korean actor Kim Moo Joon has denied rumors of dating Japanese actress Nagano Mei. This year, the two were cast in a Japanese drama called Caster, aired on TBS. Kim Moo Joon was the only Korean actor in the drama.
On Wednesday April 23, 2025, Japanese media Weekly Bunshun reported that Nagano Mei had become the third person in Japanese actor Tanaka Kei's marriage. Nagano Mei was also secretly in a romantic relationship with Kim Moo Joon, her co-star in the Japanese drama Caster.
According to a report by Weekly Bunshun, Nagano Mei is dating both actors at the same time. However, Kim Moo Joon's agency firmly denied the speculations circulating on social media. A representative from 9Ato Entertainment said that Nagano Mei and Kim Moo Joon are just close friends.
"The two are just close friends," said a brief statement from 9Ato Entertainment, as reported by Soompi. Kim Moo Joon made his acting debut as a supporting actor in the Korean drama Nevertheless in 2021. He played an art student alongside Han So Hee and Song Kang.
His name began to be known to the public after starring in the Korean drama My Dearest in 2023. Kim Moo Joon managed to take home the Best New Actor trophy from the MBC Drama Awards. In 2024, Kim Moo Joon finally spread his wings and accepted an offer to star in the Japanese drama Black Forceps Season 2: The Devil Surgeon.
