The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange recently conducted a survey called the 'Overseas Hallyu Survey 2025'.
This year, Lee Min Ho was recorded to have ranked first on the list of 'Most Popular Actors Worldwide' for the twelfth time. Lee Min Ho is considered to have made a major contribution to Hallyu, aka the spread of South Korean culture including Kpop, Korean dramas, fashion, and lifestyle throughout the world.
As reported by Korean media Star News, on Wednesday April 9, 2025, Lee Min Ho proved his popularity from the results of continental analysis. His name has become 'top of mind' in 28 countries spread across 5 continents including Asia, America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. His ability to maintain the title for 12 years proves that Lee Min Ho is a world star, at a different level.
The survey conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism together with the Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange began in 2014. And for the past 12 years, Lee Min Ho's popularity has been unmatched by other popular Korean actors and actresses.
