Korean actor Lee Do Hyun has officially been discharged from the military. After nearly two years as a member of the Air Force military band, he is no longer in a long-distance relationship with his girlfriend Lim Ji Yeon and is ready to satisfy fans' longing with a new project.
On Tuesday May 13, 2025, Lee Do Hyun completed his 21-month military service as a member of the Air Force band. In the midst of his military service, Lee Do Hyun took time off to receive the 'Best New Actor' trophy at the 2024 Baeksang Arts Awards.
A day after his return, Lee Do Hyun wrote a sweet message for his loyal fans who have been waiting for him. The 30-year-old actor also shared a photo of himself looking dashing in his military uniform while holding a bouquet of flowers yesterday.
"Thanks to the fans who love and cherish me, as well as my fellow soldiers and Air Force military band officers, I was able to complete my service with happy memories and feelings of gratitude," Lee Do Hyun wrote as a caption on his Instagram account.
Lee Do Hyun feels grateful to have completed his task well. He can't wait to meet fans. "Time felt long when I was in the military camp, but now that it's over, it seems like time has passed so quickly. I feel a little sad, but also relieved because I did my best without any regrets."
"I wanted to share stories that I couldn't talk about during that time, so I prepared an opportunity to connect with you directly. I would be grateful if you could come and make this event special," said Lee Do Hyun, alluding to the possibility of holding a fan meeting in the near future.
Meanwhile, South Korean actor Lee Do Hyun has received an offer to star in a project by famous Korean scriptwriters, Hong Sisters before completing his military service on Wednesday April 2, 2025.
He replaces Cha Eun Woo who turned down the offer and began his military service this July 2025. If they accept the Hong Sisters project offer, Lee Do Hyun and Go Min Si will be paired for the fourth time after starring in the Korean dramas Sweet Home, Youth of May, and Reincarnation Love.
