BTS's Suga donated 5 billion won to establish an autism treatment center under his own name at Yonsei Severance Hospital. On June 23, 2025, a representative of Yonsei Severance Hospital officially announced that the hospital and Suga will establish a special care center to support the care and social independence of patients with autism disorders.
Severance Hospital has held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Min Yoon Gi Treatment Center dedicated to the care of children and adolescents with autism. The center will provide mental health support for children and adolescents through language, psychological, and behavioral therapies and plans to operate a variety of programs that link clinical practice with research.
In November 2024, BTS' Suga met with Professor Chun Geun Ah, Head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, who expressed her understanding of the need to establish a specialized treatment center that could provide long-term support. Long-term support is intended for over 10 years for the treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
The goal of this foundation is to bring about positive changes in autism symptoms. To that end, BTS's Suga announced his intention to donate 5 billion won to Severance Hospital. From late last year to early this year, Suga and Professor Chun discussed the use of music-based social skills training and developed the MIND program.
MIND is an acronym that stands for enhancing interaction and sensory experiences through 'Music', providing opportunities to form social connections with communication 'Interaction', learning the process of building connections naturally within the 'Network' community, and fostering a society that values individual diversity and encourages inclusion 'Diversity'.
Professor Chun Geun Ah commented, "I sincerely thank Suga not only for his financial support but also for the sincere contribution of talent and volunteer work he has demonstrated over the past few months. I am deeply impressed by Suga's consistent sincerity, always approaching everything with a serious and thoughtful attitude."
