BTS's Jungkook surprised his fans by appearing on Instagram with a new account name. This is known because on July 15, 2025 (KST), BTS members followed a new account named "@Mnijungkook". Even though there were no posts, many immediately suspected that this account belonged to Jungkook.
This is because the BTS members only follow each other's Instagram accounts. The fan's suspicion was correct after Jungkook held a live broadcast, saying, "This is JK (Jungkook)'s New Instagram. I made it for multi-live."
Not much different from the name of his previous account which has been deleted, Jungkook this time also uses another name which is simple but unique. He explained the meaning behind his account's new name.
"My name is Jungkook," he said briefly about the meaning behind his new account name. It is known that Jungkook previously had an Instagram account with his first username taking all the letters of the alphabet, except "J" and "K" which are his initials.
So the account name at that time that had been verified was @abcdefghi_lmnopqrstuvwxyz. Not long after, the account with more than a million followers that had been collected in just a matter of hours was simply deleted by Jungkook.
Many initially suspected that Jungkook's account had been hacked, but this was immediately denied by BTS's maknae. "I deleted Instagram. I wasn't hacked," he explained at the time. "I ended up not really using it, so I just deleted it... Don't worry!!!" he continued.
After clarifying that he was the one who deleted it, Jungkook further explained that he deleted it because he didn't use it much while joking. "Hehehehe LOLOL I just rarely use it. What can I do? I'll still go live on Weverse every now and then," he explained.
