PENTAGON's Hui has officially ended his exclusive contract with CUBE Entertainment, the agency that has been with him for nine years. In an announcement on July 16, 2025, CUBE Entertainment stated that this decision was made after in-depth discussions between both parties.

Even though the contract has ended, the agency confirmed that it will continue to support Hui's recovery process from the nose injury he suffered while filming the JTBC program 'The Gentlemen's League 4'.

“We are committed to providing full support so that Hui can recover and come back strong,” CUBE wrote in its statement. Hui debuted as the leader of PENTAGON in 2016 and is known for his exceptional musical talent.

In addition to being the main vocalist, he is also active as a producer and solo artist, continuing to showcase his unique and innovative musical identity. “We are very grateful for Hui’s dedication and hard work throughout this time,” CUBE added, asking for fans’ support for Hui’s new journey ahead.

Hui's departure from CUBE Entertainment follows the footsteps of five other PENTAGON members—Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto, Kino, and Wooseok—who chose not to renew their contracts in October 2023. At the time, the members indicated that PENTAGON would continue its activities. Earlier this year, in April 2025, Jinho also left the agency.
