South Korean actor Lee Chae Min has decided not to renew his contract with his agency, GOLDMEDALIST. He has decided to leave the agency owned by actor Kim Soo Hyun and move to Varo Entertainment.

"We would like to announce that the exclusive contract with Lee Chae Min has ended in August 2025," said GOLDMEDALIST in their official statement, quoted Friday August 22, 2025. GOLDMEDALIST revealed that a lengthy discussion with Lee Chae Min was held before the decision was made.

All parties involved then agreed not to renew the contract and supported each other's choices. "We are very grateful to Lee Chae Min for his contributions as one of the GOLDMEDALIST actors for the past five years. We ask for fans' support for Lee Chae Min's new beginning," said GOLDMEDALIST.

Varo Entertainment, which also houses actor Byeon Woo Seok, then released an official announcement stating that Lee Chae Min has now joined them. Not only Byeon Woo Seok, the actor is now also signed with the same agency as Gong Seung Yeon and Yeo Jin Goo.

"We will provide full support to Lee Chae Min so that she can unleash her unlimited potential with us," said Varo Entertainment in an official statement. Lee Chae Min will appear in the new Korean drama " Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" alongside Girls' Generation's Yoona.

In the new drama, Lee Chae Min will play a cold-hearted king in the Joseon era. His heart is then moved when a chef from the future serves her a variety of unfamiliar dishes. The drama will premiere on tvN and Netflix on Saturday August 23, 2025.
